30.4. Specialized Outputs

RecurDyn/Chain automates the generation of relevant outputs for a chain system, saving the user valuable time converting the general outputs into data needed to design or analyze his system. The following table summarizes the custom outputs for RecurDyn/Chain.

Group

Outputs

Chain-body

Link#

Pos_

Position and 3-1-3 euler angles of a Chain Link’s center marker in the inertia reference frame.

Vel_

Velocity of a Chain Link’s center marker. The translational velocity is measured in the inertia reference frame. The angular velocity is measured in its center marker.

Acc_

Acceleration of a Chain Link’s center marker. The translational acceleration is measured in the inertia reference frame. The angular acceleration is measured in its center marker’.

Chain-Force

Link

Link#

_Sprocket

Contact Forces between a Sprocket and a Chain Link. The x, y and z components of the translational force generalized at the center marker of the Chain Link due to the contact force acting on the contact point of the Chain Link in its center marker.

_Roller

Contact Forces between a Roller and a Chain Link. The x, y and z components of the translational force generalized at the center marker of the Chain Link due to the contact force acting on the contact point of the Chain Link in its center marker.

_Guide

Contact Forces between a Guide and a Chain Link. The x, y and z components of the translational force generalized at the center marker of the Chain Link due to the contact force acting on the contact point of the Chain Link in its center marker.

_LGuard

Contact Forces between a Lateral Guard and a Chain Link. The x, y and z components of the translational force generalized at the center marker of the Chain Link due to the contact force acting on the contact point of the Chain Link in its center marker.

BushingTension

Tension generated in a Chain Link. This is measured in its the center marker.

Sprocket

Sprocket#

_Sprocket

Contact Forces between Chain Links and a Sprocket. The x, y and z components of the translational force generalized at the center marker of the Sprocket due to the contact force acting on the contact point of the Sprocket in its center marker.

Guide

Guide#

_Guide

Contact Forces between Chain Links and a Guide. The x, y and z components of the translational force generalized at the center marker of the Guide due to the contact force acting on the contact point of the Guide in its center marker.

GuideArc#

_Guide

Contact Forces between Chain Links and a Guide Arc. The x, y and z components of the translational force generalized at the center marker of the Guide Arc due to the contact force acting on the contact point of the Guide Arc in its center marker.

GroupGuideArc#

_GroupGuideArcSum

Summation of each contact force between a Chain Link and a GudieArc.
