A roller guard geometric entity is defined by two box geometric entities. (The width and depth of roller guard must be large enough to contact the track link pin.)

28.2.6.1. Modeling Options
The user can create a guard as follows.
Point, Point
Point: Selects a point to define the one corner of the guard.
Point: Selects a point to define the opposite corner of the guard.

The Roller Guard property page is shown in Figure 28.35. The parameters are explained below. In order to understand the geometry, refer to Dimension Information.
Length (L): Enters the length of guard.
Height (H): Enters the height of guard.
Inner Width (W): Enters the inner width of guard.
Thickness (T): Enters the thickness of guard.
Inactive: The checked guard can be inactive.
Left Roller Guard: This is a left lateral guard.
Right Roller Guard: This is a right lateral guard.
Full Search: All links are searched for contact.
Partial Search: Some links are searched for contact in some boundary. It is used to reduce total solving time.
Contact between a Roller Guard and Track Links
The roller guard is in contacts with the track link in the one part.

In order to prevent the track link from derailing from its pass, roller guard contact can be defined. Each track link pin contacts the inner surfaces of roller guard. After the roller guard geometry is created, the Assembly Information must include name of roller guard that may contact the track system.
