6.1.4.1.5. Torus

It allows the user to create a solid torus that has the information of two radii and the angle. By defining two points to set the major radius and the minor radius on the working window, the user can make it easily. For reference, when selecting two points, the major radius is calculated automatically, and the minor radius should be defined as 25% of the major radius. At this time, the angle is 360 degrees as default.

6.1.4.1.5.1. Modeling Options

The user can create a torus geometry by the following procedure.

  • Point, Radius

    • Point: Selects a point to define the center of the torus geometry.

    • Radius: Defines a radius of the torus geometry.

  • Point, Radius, Radius

    • Point: Selects a point to define the center of the torus geometry.

    • Radius: Defines a major radius of the torus geometry.

    • Radius: Defines a minor radius of the torus geometry.

  • Point, Direction, Radius, Radius

    • Point: Selects a point to define the center of the torus geometry.

    • Direction: Defines a direction of the z-axis of the torus geometry.

    • Radius: Defines a major radius of the torus geometry.

    • Radius: Defines a minor radius of the torus geometry.

  • Point, Point, Direction, Angle

    • Point: Selects a point to define the center of the torus geometry.

    • Point: Selects a point to define the starting point of the torus geometry.

    • Direction: Defines a direction for the revolution of the torus geometry.

    • Angle: Defines a revolution angle of the torus geometry.

  • Point, Point, Direction, Angle, Radius

    • Point: Selects a point to define the center of the torus geometry.

    • Point: Selects a point to define the start point of the torus geometry.

    • Direction: Defines a direction for the revolution of the torus geometry.

    • Angle: Defines a revolution angle of the torus geometry.

    • Radius: Defines a minor radius of the torus geometry.

The user can modify the geometry information using the Torus Geometry property page.
