42.2.1.2. General Clone

General Clone is a function that creates a clone body that can be used in RecurDyn/Linked Assembly.

42.2.1.2.1. Modeling Options

The user can create a general clone body as follows.

  • Solid, Point, WithDialog

    • Solid: Inputs a solid geometry to be copied.

    • Point: Selects a point to define the position of general clone body.

    • WithDialog: Modifies the property of general clone body.

  • Assembly Segment

    • Left Width (X Axis): Width from Reference Position (X) to the left direction.

    • Right Width (X Axis): Width from Reference Position (X) to the right direction.

    • Upper Height (Y Axis): Height from Reference Position (Y) to the upper direction.

    • Lower Height (Y Axis): Height from Reference Position (Y) to the lower direction.

  • Connecting Position : Decides the location where the connecting force (Matrix or Bushing force) will be generated during assembly.

    • Add: Add point.

    • Remove: Remove point.

    • Insert : Insert point.

  • Preview Boundary of Assembly Segment: Shows the assembly boundary of the clone to be used for assembly.
