33.1. System Builder

RecurDyn/Piston supports a system builder that the user can create all system easily without the complicated calculation. A piston system is composed of several parts. The several parts are very difficult to create the whole system by general method, because each part has the strong relationship with other parts. The system builder creates the piston system with the special parametric method such as:

Terminology

• Pre-Global Data: In Pre-Global Data, basic values are defined such as Cycle Type, Rotation Type, Primary Axis Type, and Secondary Axis Type.

• Global Data: In Global Data, the values of components and connecting elements are defined.

• Special Parametric Marker: controls position and orientation of between bodies.

• Special Parametric Value: controls geometric relationship between bodes.
