41.1.3.2. Road Property File

Each tire model has the appropriate format of the rdf file for each parameter. The rdf file can be compatible or not although some data type is same. The type of the rdf file must be the supported type of each tire model. For more information, refer to each program’s manual.

41.1.3.2.1. UATire

The UATire model is only supported to the 3D Patch type’s tire model and various road models can be supported later. The current supported Road Property file is as follows.

If the user uses the rdf file in the UATire model, the creation method of GRoad from the geometry is recommended than the creation method by directly inputting values.

41.1.3.2.2. MFTire and SWIFTTire

The MFTire and the SWIFTTire are supported to various 2D roads and the 3D road of the special type as Open CRG. The types are same to the existing format of RecurDyn.

Note

Moving Road option is supported for only Flat Road type. If the GRoad is not Flat Road type, the origin and orientation of GRoad (or Body to which GRoad belongs) are ignored when simulating. Therefore, origin and orientation of GRoad should be set to (0,0,0) because rendering view and analysis result may differ.

41.1.3.2.3. FTire

The format of the rdf file in the FTire model is supported by the STI (Standard Tire Interface) and various road models are supported.
But the parameters of some road models are same or are not same to the format of TNO/MFTire. For the format of the rdf file by each road type, refer to the COSIN Help document.
