40.2.2.1. Skeleton Profile Information

The data to define Skeleton profile of spring can be entered in Data or File mode. In Data mode, cylindrical coordinates of profile are directly imported from an external file with 3 columns (Radius, Phi (deg), Height) ASCII format. After importing, any connection to the file can be lost. In File mode, the skeleton profile is read from the selected file, but RecurDyn stores a pointer to that file. RecurDyn can update Skeleton profile information from that file if (a) Reload button in the dialog box is used, if (b) Tools>Reload Files option from menu bar is used and if (c) RecurDyn/Solver is executed with /RF option in batch processing mode. Remark: The axial position of the skeleton curve is synchronized at Height = 0 with the First Point position.
