32.1. System Builder

RecurDyn/Crank supports the system builder that the user can create all system easily without complicated calculation. The crank system is composed of so many parts that it is very difficult to create whole system by manual method because each part has strong relationship with other parts. System builder create crank system with the Special Parametric Method (SPM) such as special parametric markers and the Special Parametric Values (SPV).

Terminology

  • Pre-Global Data: In Pre-Global Data, basic values are defined such as Engine Type, Cycle Type, Rotation Type, Primary Axis Type, Secondary Axis Type and Number of Cylinder.

  • Global Data: In Global Data, the values of components and connecting elements are defined.

  • Special Parametric Marker: controls position and orientation of between bodies.

  • Special Parametric Value: controls geometric relationship between bodies.
